Review by hotel critic
During my Christmas stay at Hotel Victoria in Stavanger, I was enchanted by the blend of history and modern comforts that this elegant establishment offers. Nestled right by the vibrant harbor, the location is perfect for exploring both the breathtaking nature and the rich Viking heritage that Norway is renowned for. Our room was a delightful retreat, thoughtfully designed with comfortable amenities and an incredible view over Vågen Bay, which made for a restorative night's sleep to fuel our daily adventures. Every morning, we indulged in the diverse breakfast buffet, featuring everything from smoked salmon to fresh pastries. I savored each bite, knowing the emphasis on local suppliers aligned with my passion for sustainability. The friendly staff provided invaluable tips for our excursions, including a memorable trip to the renowned Preikestolen, so highly recommended for its stunning views. The hotel also features a delightful cocktail bar, providing a charming evening atmosphere to unwind. With its deep-rooted history and attention to guest comfort, Hotel Victoria is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking both leisure and a touch of Nordic cultural immersion. I left with cherished memories and a wish to return soon, ideally with family or fellow marine enthusiasts, to share the experience of this magnificent region.
